1. Who we are
cove-trade.com is an independent marketing and referral website about Cove, the non-custodial Telegram trading terminal. The site is operated by Visionary Marketing, based in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for any personal data collected through this website.
We are not Cove. The Cove product, the Cove Telegram bot and the cove.trade website are operated by Genesis block0 Corp, which has its own privacy policy. Once you open Cove in Telegram, their policy applies, not this one.
2. What this site does
This is a static information site. It has no user accounts, no sign-up forms, no comment system and no checkout. The only things you can do here are read pages and click links. Most of those links open Cove in Telegram using our referral code, which is how we may earn a referral fee from Cove on trades you make there.
3. Data we collect
Because there are no forms or accounts, we collect very little.
We also use Google Analytics 4, but only if you allow it. When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. If you decline, nothing is loaded and your choice is remembered in your browser. If you accept, Google Analytics records which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are, what device and browser they use, and how they arrived. IP addresses are truncated before storage. We do not run advertising pixels or social media trackers.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
cove-trade.com sets no cookies until you make a choice on the analytics banner. That choice is stored in your browser's local storage under the name ct-consent, which is not a cookie and is never sent to us. Beyond that:
- Google Analytics. If you allow analytics, Google sets the
_gaand_ga_*cookies, which last up to 13 months and identify your browser across visits. You can change your mind at any time by clearing the site's data in your browser, which brings the banner back. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services. - Fonts. Pages load the Plus Jakarta Sans and Roboto Mono typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser requests those files from Google's servers, which means Google receives your IP address and standard request headers. Google says it does not use Fonts requests for profiling. See Google's privacy policy.
- Links to other services. When you follow a link to Telegram, X, docs.cove.trade or cove.trade, those services may set their own cookies. We do not control them.
5. Lawful basis for processing
Under UK GDPR we rely on our legitimate interests in operating a secure, working website (server logs) and in responding to people who contact us (email). Analytics cookies are set only with your consent, as the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations require, and you can withdraw that consent at any time. We do not process special category data and we do not make automated decisions about you.
6. Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for marketing. Server logs sit with our hosting provider, Krystal Hosting Ltd, in the United Kingdom, under a data processing agreement. If you accept analytics, Google LLC processes the analytics data described above as our processor under Google's data processing terms. If we are legally required to disclose data, for example by a court order, we will do so.
7. International transfers
Server logs are stored in the United Kingdom. Google Fonts requests and, if you accept them, Google Analytics data are handled by Google, which may process them outside the UK, including in the United States, under the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and Google's standard contractual clauses. We do not transfer any other personal data internationally.
8. How long we keep data
Server logs are rotated automatically and are kept for no longer than 30 days unless they are needed to investigate an incident. Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months, the shortest retention period Google offers, and is then deleted automatically. Emails are kept for as long as the conversation is live and for up to 12 months afterwards so we can answer follow-up questions.
9. Your rights
You have the right to ask us what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict processing, and to receive a copy in a portable format. Email hello@cove-trade.com and we will reply within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
10. Blockchain data
Nothing you do on this website touches a blockchain. Trades you make inside Cove are recorded on public blockchains and cannot be deleted by us or by Cove. Please read Cove's own policy for how that data is handled.
11. Children
This site is not intended for anyone under 18. Cove itself requires users to be 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from children, and if you believe a child has emailed us, contact us and we will delete the message.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change how the site works, for example by adding analytics, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. Significant changes will be flagged with a notice on the homepage for at least 30 days.
